Buster Posey and the Giants have agreed to a massive contract extension. Multiple sources say the reigning National League MVP will earn 167-million-dollars over the next nine years. The eight-year extension is on top of his eight-million-dollar salary for the 2013 season. The 26-year-old Posey has quickly elevated to one of the elite players in baseball with two World Series titles in his first three years in San Francisco.
He was the Rookie of the Year in 2010, and last year led the league in batting with a .336 average. He also won a Silver Slugger Award, the Comeback Player of the Year, and was named the league's MVP.
